  NOTE:  Students of Media Culture and Art Theories as well as Cultural Studies must submit a transcript of records (and no portfolio)

Selection Procedure for PhD-Candidates:

We consider the quality of the PhD proposal, its fitting into the University of Arts and Design Linz, the motivation and language skills of the applicants as well as the availability of study places within the Erasmus cooperation. The selection process does not include a judgement on the artistic-scientific value of your work. For the PhD-program, the decision upon applications lies with the coordinator of the PhD-program. The department will start reviewing applications about 2 weeks after the application deadline. Students and their coordinators will receive the decision by email within 5 weeks after the deadline. Letters of acceptance follow by post mailing, if desired. The application process must be done through our online plattform. We do not accept any application sent by E-mail.
