Using mail clients and mobile devices
Your email address of the Kunstuniversität is an Exchange/Office365-account. To use all functions without restrictions we recommend Microsoft Outlook, see instructions on the right. Outlook is usually pre-installed on all devices of the "Kunstuniversität Linz", it can also be downloaded by members of the university, who do have an active email account and the relevant license, see Microsoft Office.
Email-Accounts for groups or functions
These are mailboxes, which are not directly dedicated to a person but to a departement or specific function. If you need such an account, please talk to your head of department. He or she should write an email containing the following: desired syntax of the address and who should be entitled to access and use it. Please also refer to the instructions on the right.
Features and hints
* Maximum allowed file size per email: 15 MB
* Maximum storage per account: 16 GB
* Please regularly delete emails, which are no longer required and also clean sent mails, spam-/junk mails and deleted mails (trash).
* If you are using MS Office to send serial mails, please beware that a copy of every single sent mail is stored in "sent items"!
* Don't send large files as attachments but as download link: Upload the files to a cloud-storage (like "Filr") and then generate a download link. If you'd like to send multiple files at once, it is recommended to package them in a ZIP-file.
